A private chef is typically employed full-time by a single client or family, often working and sometimes living in their home, providing tailored meals and comprehensive food management. In contrast, a personal chef serves multiple clients, usually on a part-time or as-needed basis, preparing customized meals that are often pre-packaged with reheating instructions, without the daily household integration of a private chef.

Amazing private chefs. Rebecca was professional, friendly and easy to speak to. Both the staff and her, spoke spanish and english for our family style dinner.
